What is a file?
A file is one saved thing: a photo, a song, a homework document. Each file has a name and a type (like .jpg for a picture or .pdf for a document).
Folders keep order
A folder is like a cardboard file or a drawer that holds related files together. 'School', 'Photos', 'Music' — giving folders clear names helps you find things fast.
Save often
When you make something, Save it so it is not lost. 'Save As' makes a new copy with a new name — good for trying changes without spoiling the first one.
Name things clearly
'Homework_Science_Term2' is easier to find later than 'New document (3)'. A clear name today saves searching tomorrow.
Back it up
A backup is a spare copy kept somewhere safe — a flash disk or the cloud. If a phone is lost or a laptop spoils, your backup still has your work. Back up anything you'd be sad to lose.
